E-mail From Reader | Our Opinion:  Lisa Sprague As Leon County Sheriff | Honesty Makes Lisa The Best Candidate

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Voters should know now that Leon County Sheriff Larry Campbell having more than 51 years in law enforcement is long enough!  We need a challenger with new ideas, more energy and strong community support to take the reins like that of Lisa Sprague.  She’s younger and much prettier unlike old, washed up and just collecting pay-checks while well past retirement age.

The Time is now on November 6th!  Lisa Sprague is the best choice to be elected Sheriff on Nov. 6th.

The public knows very well that we don’t want Campbell in office!  In the August Primary, many of us voted Tommy Mills in which he almost beat Sheriff Larry Campbell with much less experience of mainly running a jail over the years before retirement.  The 5 Terms Of Larry Campbell have been long enough!

Sheriff Campbell has had decades of crime fighting experience in which much of it is antiquated for being in office so long.  Sheriff Larry Campbell should not have been allowed to keep a grip on power for so long as there has not been any proper oversight of checks and balances to his actions while running wild over the years with bad arrests made in the Sheriff’s office, lack of investigations, lack of arrests, bad spending with corruption, cover-ups and pay-offs.

Campbell is promoting the same as he’s done for years — maintaining safe neighborhoods while Leon County raises towards the #1 Position of most dangerous city in America with Tallahassee being #8 currently.  Anyone can draw on a statewide network of law-enforcement connections once they take his position of the budget and resources.

Sheriff Larry Campbell does not state the facts as an Honest Sheriff that Leon County Desperately needs.  The letter that he received from Dennis Jones was most likely staged after drinking some beers together among the “Good ol’ boy, Scratch my back and Cover my ass club” in session.

The Sheriff’s Office is in need of fresh leadership, someone who will introduce modern, technology-based crime-fighting tools, incorporating the use of consultants to review jail operations and budget procedures and develop spirit of communication, collaboration and transparency.

Sprague will put in place major changes of a corrupt and dysfunctional Sheriff’s Office after Nov. 6 to reverse the increase in the crime rate, how she would make jail operations more effective and how she plans to work more effectively with other law-enforcement agencies on combining crime-fighting resources that differ very much from what Mr. Campbell already is doing.

After reading the Tallahassee Democrat on-line today, it didn’t come to be any surprise that Sheriff Larry Campbell was endorsed by the newspaper.  There is much power, money and status quo at stake in this election.  If Campbell doesn’t get re-elected he loses well over $600,000 in the next four years!  This is while citizens are getting robbed by Campbell and his cronies.  Campbell already retired and now gets paid two checks of over $230,000 or so per year.  The Tallahassee Democrat has often failed at being a media company of real investigative and unbiased journalism.

The paper is mainly paid-off by politicians and the police union with advertising and good ol’ buddy dealing.   You can look and see that the Democrat basically endorses and rubber-stamps all the existing incumbents as a group of wimps that don’t stand up for what’s right with money involved and being paid off as a newspaper and media company.  The problem with the police union is that officers pay their dues to them in which they often wind up covering for dirty cops.  Please Click Here For Example Of Florida Police Union Covering Up Dirty Cop (Fired five times, arrested three times and 40 Internal Affairs Investigations while still being a cop while currently fired with the police union fighting to get his job back as a disgrace to honest law enforcement)

We personally like how the Tallahassee O has exposed this Government Corruption going on within the Sheriff’s Office along with the other individuals in local government.  It has been a great outlet with the letters written by deputies working that have exposed what the Sheriff’s office is really like.  You can notice how the local news doesn’t really have the balls to cover the local corruption unlike ThinkProgress and other national media outlets talking about Sheriff Campbell.  Unfortunately, The Tallahassee Democrat has not covered much of the facts at all while being bought.

There was a story about the Sheriff giving back a campaign donation to the local internet cafe which was more of a joke than any real investigative journalism.  The story should have been about Campbell winning over $11,000 last year by gambling as claimed on his tax returns last year.  Was he taking a Sheriff Office Vacation to Vegas at the time?  It wouldn’t be a surprise as we are the 8th most dangerous city in America with a lazy, corrupt and dirty Sheriff.  The award-winning story about the Sheriff’s Office recently was on WCTV in which Andy Alcock talked about the Sheriff’s Office spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on overseas training and vacations for Sheriff Campbell’s buddies.  Of course, the deputies releasing these letters and stories while still working at the local Sheriff’s office would never put their names on the stories as whistle-blowers while having families to raise.  They also talk of the intimidating and retaliatory tactics of Campbell and his cronies.

We think it’s time for anyone else as Sheriff as they won’t be receiving DROP (Two paychecks) along with all the pay-raises to Campbell over the years while the Sheriff’s Office has a fresh start.  The last 50 years have gotten very stale with Campbell in office.  Most people have a desire to retire well before 70 years old and Campbell will be 74 after this new term if he gets elected.  We guess when you have all those skeletons in the closet, it’s good to pay off the local paper and keep a personal guard on that door.

Tallahassee, FL-October 28, 2012

A former Indiana law enforcement official is facing sex charges in Florida for the second time.

The Leon County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 45-year-old Matthew Morris.  Morris is charged with lewd or lascivious molestation of a victim 12 to 15 years of age.  The details of his latest charges are not known at this time.

Court records show Morris previously worked as a law enforcement agent in Indiana. It’s not known which agency he worked for or why he left.

Morris was convicted in 2001 of sexual battery in Leon County. He was released in 2003.

Dennis Tate works in the Leon County Sheriff’s Office Internal Affairs.  He has made several sexual comments to females in the office while working.  This was prior to him being charged with sexual assault in which he got off the charges.

None of his prior behavior in previous law enforcement was even brought up to show the pattern of behavior before he was hired at LCSO.

After his hire, he assaulted a woman sexually when he was supposed to be helping her with harassing phone calls that she was getting.

This earlier minor complaint later turned into a sexual battery by a supposed “protector of our citizens” in which the LCSO hired this individual after having a previous pattern shown for complaints made.

After Dennis Tate, you have Brian Bland who had a half dozen (level 2 to 5) offenses that warranted dismissal until he wrote letters asking for a pre-disposition panel with Sheriff Larry Campbell’s own personal team.

Bland in 2005 was charged for battery of a 7 year old stepson and attempting to STRANGLE his own wife.  He also tried to attack his three or four year old stepdaughter in which he then fled the scene of the crime to get into a Serious DUI Wreck in which he was then life lifted to the hospital.

This individual is actually is still on the employed roster and our tax dollars pay him

Also their is an issue of the Tallahassee Democrat endorsement when their main reasoning is that they stated the competency of budget handling.   However, the WCTV news aired ten days before was showing irrefutable evidence of a half million dollars spent on resort stays and complete misuse and abuse of budgetary resources.

If experience is so much of a concern, then we should focus on how Campbell’s experience has gotten us a consistent increase in our crime rate and now ranked #8 on Forbes.  His position in the televised debate was “I will continue to do the same as I have”.   Well, the same is EXACTLY what this county does NOT NEED!  We need to help our community to aspire to create economic growth.  For safer places to raise our children.  For our city to heal itself!  We certainly DO NOT NEED THE SAME as he stated in his televised debate.

Leon County Schools Superintendent Jackie Pons has amassed a nearly $300,000 war chest in his re-election bid against a political newcomer who’s raised less than $10,000 in contributions.Pons raised $295,814 through the latest fundraising period ending Oct. 12, according to campaign-finance reports. Sabrina M. Allen, his opponent, has raised $9,571, roughly 3 percent of Pons’ take. The superintendent’s race isn’t the only local contest with lopsided contribution totals. Several of the top fundraising candidates running for city and county commission and sheriff have outpaced their opponents by a factor of at least 2 to 1.

With less than a week to go before the general election, the candidates who can afford it are bombarding voters with television and newspaper ads and direct mail pieces, giving them a distinct though not-insurmountable advantage over their lesser-funded rivals.

Davis Houck, professor of communication at Florida State University, said candidates who raise the most cash can boost their name recognition through more and more ad buys and get their message out to the public in an unfiltered way. It can be effective in shaping public perception of the candidates, he said, particularly for busy voters who haven’t had time to thoroughly research them.

“I don’t think the person with the most money is always going to win,” Houck said. “But it sure is an enormous advantage.”

Retired Army Colonel Cedric Wingate and William “Cobra” Staubs, P.I. Question Honesty and Leadership of Leon County Sheriff Larry Campbell

The Tallahassee O | Local Military Personnel and Civilian Leon County Citizens Troubled By Concerns About Honesty and Integrity of Sheriff Campbell; Claim Local Media Refused to Investigate.

Tallahassee, FL (PRWEB) November 04, 2012

For Immediate Release by The Tallahassee O (http://www.TallahasseeO.com)

by Tallahassee O Reporting Staff

When Retired Army Colonel Cedric Wingate heard other local military personnel and civilians questioning Leon County Sheriff Larry Campbell’s claims that he’d earned the rank of Platoon Sergeant serving in the United States Marine Corps and that he held Bachelor’s Degrees in Criminology and Abnormal Psychology from Florida State University, he contacted the U.S. Military and FSU to find out for himself. The result, according to Col. Wingate, is that contrary to Campbell’s claims, he was informed by the military that, “the highest rank the Sheriff ever achieved was Corporal,” and that “he only has one Bachelor’s Degree, in ‘Social Welfare.’” In fact, additional research by The Tallahassee O has failed even to uncover an undergraduate or graduate-level degree program in “abnormal psychology” offered by ANY major university in the United States.

Recently, an Elections Complaint was filed against Campbell, based upon and including Col. Wingate’s research, with the Florida Elections Commission. (WCTV News coverage of the Complaint: http://www.wctv.tv/home/headlines/Sheriff-Campbell–174819171.html) This was the second Elections Complaint filed against Campbell this year, after a prior complaint was filed by Carl Martin, a member of the LCSO Sheriff’s Posse, who complained to the Commission of his being the victim of an attempt by an LCSO Deputy to extort a campaign contribution from him. (Click here for additional coverage of this story: http://www.wctv.tv/home/headlines/Man_Say_He_Was_Threatened_to_Donate_to_Sheriffs_Campaign_149168315.html ) Mr. Martin recently passed away after a long battle with cancer, and the Elections Commission responded by dismissing his Complaint.

Colonel Wingate says he went to The Tallahassee Democrat to run a paid story questioning the military and educational record of Sheriff Larry Campbell. Wingate claims that the Democrat engaged him in a back-and-forth, requiring him to make change after change to his story, and raising the price they had quoted him by hundreds of dollars. Wingate stated that “The Democrat later wanted to re-write the story to basically be a paid piece in honor of Sheriff Campbell,” contrary to the concerns of Wingate, Staubs and other citizens. And Col. Wingate isn’t alone in raising concerns about the independence of the Democrat, with recent talk on Preston Scott’s radio show about the bias of the Tallahassee Democrat during the elections seeming to indicate that a great many citizens are questioning whether the local newspaper has been bought by its advertisers. (Listen to the archived show at: http://www.wflafm.com/pages/Preston.html?article=10534302 .)

Honorably Discharged U.S. Navy veteran William “Cobra” Staubs, well-known for his work throughout Florida and elsewhere as a licensed Private Investigator and Bailbonds man, has heard Campbell speak at several Sheriff’s candidate forums in recent months. He, too, now questions the honesty and leadership ability of Sheriff Campbell, and he has done so in pieces he has contributed to The Tallahassee O (http://www.tallahasseeo.com).

At one recent Sheriff’s candidate forum, Cobra was astounded to hear Campbell suggest that he could prove his skill with a firearm by using his opponents for target practice:

“I’ve been in it fifty or more years but I assure you this, I’m not too old to cut the mustard. I’m still out there . . . I got out with my troops. I go out there and do what needs to be done. I told somebody the other day we have police standards that we have to keep up, that we have to keep our pistol proficiency up. And we have to keep our other police professional standards up. And I had invited the other candidates if they don’t think I can do it, go down and let me shoot at you and see if I can do it any good.”

(For coverage and audio of Campbell’s comments, visit ThinkProgress:

http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2012/09/11/822881/florida-sheriff-jokes-about-using-his-political-opponents-as-target-practice/?mobile=ncand .)

Citizens are also questioning the millions of dollars being spent in the Sheriff’s Office for overseas training as covered recently by WCTV. Several Deputies have retired shortly after the thousands of dollars that were spent in training. There was nearly $425,000 spent at LCSO for the training in Israel, Alaska and Las Vegas during 2009 and 2010 alone. The financial disclosure reports of Campbell from The Florida Ethics Commission show Campbell won $11,428 in gambling earnings last year.

http://www.wctv.tv/home/headlines/Leon-County-Sheriffs-Office-Spends-425K-on-TravelTraining-in-2-Years-173793141.html

The Tallahassee O Media Network has been contacted numerous times by citizens and deputies regarding the honesty and leadership of Sheriff Larry Campbell that have talked with him and worked with him in the past. The Tallahassee O has republished a series of letters from Leon County Deputies with concerns of ethic violations and crimes being committed and covered up within the Leon County Sheriff’s Office.

This story along with numerous others have been in recent news headlines regarding Sheriff Larry Campbell of 16 years in which he just celebrated his 70th Birthday. Many citizens are now questioning the leadership and the two payments to Sheriff Campbell with DROP Retirement for both working and being retired.

Cobra Staubs stated from his research that “Government workers can enter the states deferred retirement program, called DROP, after working for 30 years or turning 62. After working for five to eight years in DROP, workers retire and take a lump-sum payout in addition to their regular pension. It was created in 1998 to encourage retirement of highly paid, senior employees to make room for advances among younger, lower-paid employees. The result is that one person is receiving both full pay, and a full pension, when if they REALLY retired, another person could be employed.”

Most people call this double dipping. These are the concerns of the Military Personnel and the Leon County Citizens alike in which many people say that it’s time for Sheriff Larry Campbell to retire again with Lisa Sprague moving the office forward into the 21st Century.

Free Advice For How To Deal With Local Crooked Cops | Remain Silent And Call An Attorney!

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Have you dealt with the local dumb and/or dirty rogue cops within Leon County and/or Tallahassee?

Guess what, you’re probably going to end up in court at some point.

Contact the local media.  Find witnesses.  Turn the tables on the bastards and make them give your stuff back and drop the bogus charges.

Unfortunately, they prey on the poor because they know they can’t usually fight back.

Many Local Judge’s, Prosecutors and Police Officers would be without jobs if 90% of all the Bullshit cases didn’t exist in the local Leon County Kangaroo court which is a total joke for administration of real justice.

You might want to buy some religious material from Judge Judy Hawkins in order to gain some brownie points if you have her seating as your judge on a case.  We would like to give you some other free advice as well.

The First thing we would do is try to obtain a lawyer as soon as possible.  Get a good one like Criminal Defense Attorneys David Chester or Anabelle Dias in Tallahassee.  We know many of you cannot afford one in which the ACLU or Florida Legal Services should be able to help you acquire one.

Next file a FOIA with the police department specifically requesting any and all information on complaints filed against the arresting officers.  Many Officers with local law enforcement of the Tallahassee Police Department and Leon County Sheriff’s Office have a history of internal affairs complaints and lawsuits regarding civil rights violations and public corruption.  You will need anything you can use to discredit those crooked and corrupt officers in court.  It will be your word against theirs and you can pretty much guarantee the recording will be deleted if they found the one you made with your camera or audio recorder during the police encounter.  Who would have believed Rodney King without the video tape?

Next you or your attorney will have to file motions of discovery to obtain copies of all evidence to be used against you in court including the video and audio evidences being held by police.  Make sure you ask for the police reports too.

Always go before a jury instead of a bench trial if possible because local judge’s are often biased towards the crooked cops in local law enforcement that they work with together everyday in the court.

How to Get Charges Dismissed in a Criminal Case

How to Get Charges Dismissed in a Criminal Case thumbnail

Charges can be dropped any time between arrest and conviction.

If you ever find yourself facing criminal charges, whether an infraction, misdemeanor or felony, the best possible outcome would be to get the charges dropped.  Charges can be dismissed at any point between arrest and conviction.  Although obtaining an innocent verdict is good, getting charges dismissed saves time and litigation costs.  Depending on your situation, the steps range in complexity, but there are a few simple guidelines to follow to have criminal charges dismissed.

Instructions

  • Learn about the specific charge you are facing. You can do this by reading the statute the prosecution is charging you with.  Criminal law statutes will set out each element of a crime; you can only be charged and convicted of the crime  if you have fulfilled each and every element of that crime.  For example, in many states, the legal definition of theft is “unlawfully appropriating property with  intent to deprive the owner of property.”  If you can prove that you took someone else’s property, but only had the intention of borrowing it and not of depriving the owner of it, then you can request that your charge be dismissed.  Note that the request must be made to the judge, who has the final say in this matter.  Some mistakenly believe that the prosecutor determines this question. Not  so–the judge makes the final determination.  In most cases, the judge agrees with the prosecutor’s office if it decides to drop charges.  Even so, the prosecutor’s duty is to prosecute a case and obtain a guilty verdict if justice demands it, so the prosecutor’s office will rarely drop criminal charges.  The burden is therefore on the defendant to request the judge to dismiss the charges if he believes he is innocent of the crime.

Read the Fourth and Fifth Amendments of the U.S. Constitution, and determine whether or not the police violated your constitutional rights during or after arrest.  All citizens have a right to be protected from unreasonable searches and seizures, and law enforcement must always have probable cause before it can search you or your property.  Police are also required to read you your Miranda rights while you are in custody, and all interrogation must cease if you request a lawyer.  If the police failed to read you the Miranda Warning while you were in custody, or if they gathered evidence against you illegally by failing to  produce a search warrant when one was required, then you may have a case for getting your charges discharged.

Do legal research on cases similar to yours. You can do an online search with Google of any number of legal databases, using search terms involving the particular crime you are charged with and any constitutional or statutory issues you think are relevant.  Read these cases carefully, familiarize yourself with the legal issues and arguments involved, and try to determine whether or not they would apply successfully in your case. If you are being tried in a federal court, be sure to focus on federal law; if you are being charged in a state court, research the law of your particular state. Of course, a U.S. Supreme Court case would carry the greatest weight and authority in any court, so if you find one that is  pertinent to your case, use it.

Tips & Warnings

  • Criminal charges are serious and a conviction can adversely affect the rest of your life.  Seriously consider consulting with a licensed attorney specializing in criminal law.

How to Get Evidence Thrown Out in Court

Everyone has seen a court case tried on television and movies where a damning piece of evidence is thrown out of court.  This is a powerful weapon to yield in a case, as it makes the opposition seem  unreliable.

Instructions

Find out where the evidence came from or how it was acquired.  Look through the paperwork associated with the piece and make sure that there are no dead ends or that it didn’t simply appear out of thin air.  Research evidence law.  Think about the different ways evidence can be thrown  out.  One of the most common is that a police officer did not acquire it in a legal way.  Different laws will apply to different courts and case situations.  This can be as simple as not getting a warrant.Determine how you will argue that this piece of evidence can’t be used in court.  Know how this will fit into the court proceedings, ideally before it is presented to jurors.  Make sure the jurors do not get the image in their heads before it gets thrown out or your efforts are futile.

Leon Co. Sheriff offers stance on gun control during talk radio interview

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Leon County Sheriff Larry Campbell made his stance on national discussion known on a local talk radio station.

The topic of the interview, which aired on WFLA (100.7), was gun control. Since the mass shooting of several children and adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut, there has been a national discussion on whether or not we should have stricter rules for gun ownership.

On Wednesday, January 16, President Obama announced a $500 million package of executive actions and legislative proposals aimed at reducing gun violence. Part of that package– a call on Congress to ban military-style assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.

Just a few hours before the announcement, Sheriff Campbell was interviewed on The Morning Show with Preston Scott. During the interview, Sheriff Campbell was asked if he would comply with a federal mandate ordering him to turn over his weapons, if such an edict were to be issued. The answer? A full-voiced “no.”

“I don’t work for the United States government; I do not work for the president of the United States; I work for the citizens of Leon County, Florida,” Campbell said.

He said that if the president sent military to enforce this hypothetical mandate, the outcome would be similar to that of Little Rock, Arkansas, during integration. He said that he wouldn’t back down until “they come down and use federal might to do it.”

Campbell also said that such mandate would be unconstitutional and would violate the second amendment. He added that lawmakers should not issue any laws that the citizens do not agree with.

“The power of the President of the United States is not greater than the power of the people of the United States,” Campbell said.

Campbell added that it’s a matter of public safety. He that the only way that citizens can protect themselves against armed criminals is with a gun.

“We want to keep our guns; are you going to come take them away from us? I’m not going to give them mine,” Campbell said.

Sheriff Campbell was not available for interview Thursday.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) –  Florida State University student Ian Lozano says his apartment was broken into during a Christmas break.

Ian Lazano says, “It is scary to know all someone has to do is kick in the door.”

Lazano isn’t the only person thieves are trying to take advantage of…

Tallahassee police say in the last six months they have responded to more than seventeen hundred burglaries.

That’s nearly 10 a day.

Just yesterday Leon County Sheriff’s deputies arrested three people on burglary related charges.

Police say the crooks are  targeting apartment complexes versus homes.

Officer David Northay from the Tallahassee police department says, “It is easier to go to five doors in an apartment complex than to five houses where you have to go to five separate places.”

Police are using the full power of their shield trying to cut down on the number burglaries.

Their using social media.

Northway says, “We have videos on Facebook and Youtube. People can watch with tips to protect themselves.”

Targeted patrols.

Northway says,  “Those officers are not undercover, but they are using unmarked vehicles to see what’s going on in neighborhoods.”

And their even getting their gang unit involved.

Northway says, “They are making connections with people in the community hoping those connections will make people comfortable enough to contact police if they see something catch the bad guys.”

When deputies attempted to stop Cespedes, he fled in a silver Pontiac Vibe. Deputies pursued Cespedes to the area of 2115 Seminole Drive where he drove through the yard, exited the vehicle with a firearm and began firing at the deputies.

K-9 Deputy Ron McMullen deployed his partner “Koda” as he and other deputies attempted to apprehend Cespedes. The suspect fired multiple shots at the deputies, shooting “Koda.” Deputies McMullen and Tyler Epstein fired multiple shots in return, striking Cespedes in the head.

Deputies transported “Koda” to a local animal hospital where he died from a single gunshot wound. “Koda” was a 5 ½ year old male German shepherd who served with the Leon County Sheriff’s Office since 2008.

Sheriff Larry Campbell stated, “Last night the Leon County Sheriff’s Office lost a valuable member of the agency. LCSO K-9 “Koda” was killed while protecting his partner, Deputy McMullen and other deputies from an armed violent fugitive. “Koda” was a fearless and loyal partner. He was trained to serve and protect and that is exactly what he did.”

Deputies McMullen and Epstein were placed on Administrative Leave with pay, pending the completion of an internal investigation per LCSO policy.

Tallahassee, FL -A wanted man shot and killed a K-9 officer in Tallahassee late last night and deputies responded with gunfire.

At least two deputies shot the suspect; we are still not sure the extent of his injuries.

In the wake of last night’s events, WCTV visited the Leon County Sheriff’s Office. The flag is at half staff there and there are black wreaths on the front door, all for Koda, the 51/2 year old officer dog shot and killed last night.

Deputies were out all night working at the scene – taking photos, doing interviews and gathering evidence.

The man, Carlos Cespedes, was wanted for attempted murder and more. When deputies tried to pull him over last night, he took off, and they followed him all the way to the corner of Magnolia and Seminole Drive.

Deputies say when Cespedes got out of the car, he had a gun in his hand and opened fire, not only on the charging dog, but on the deputies too.

Cespedes killed the dog, and at least two deputies opened fire.

Cespedes was shot repeatedly and taken to Tallahassee Memorial, but neither the hospital nor the sheriff’s office is releasing any information about his condition right now.

31 year old Carlos Cespedes. He is 31 had a warrant for his arrest out of TPD for attempted murder, aggravated battery and discharging a firearm.

WCTV checked his rap sheet, and according to court records, he’s been arrested five times since 2008, including arrests for drug possession, concealed weapons charges, domestic battery and resisting arrest.

Those court records also show he was just in court January 3rd and was sentenced to probation and community service.

Memorial Service Scheduled to Honor Slain K-9, Koda

The Media Needs To Ask The LCSO….Why would they put this K-9 Koda in the line of fire during a gun fight that would most certainly put him in danger of being shot and dying in the line of duty?

These dogs cost much money with resources invested to train in which they should be defined as police officers when murdered.  However, there also needs to be some care taken for their safety and well-being like not leaving them to die in your vehicle because of heat-stroke like at least one of the moron cops with TPD has done in the past.

The Tallahassee O talked with one of our sources from the LCSO today (remains anonymous) and it was stated:  “Sgt. Brian Pearson lacks the experience and training to run these types of operations as the commanding officer”.

We do have to question why is this dog not alive today and how could this have been prevented?

Officers deal with murderers everyday and they often don’t get shot and die in the line of duty like this K-9 did.  Future preventative measures would be a great idea for LCSO.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) – A memorial service has been scheduled for a Leon County Sheriff’s K9 killed last week in the line of duty.

Deputies say “Koda” was killed January 31 by a suspect wanted for attempted murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm from a vehicle.
